loved ones in India. Several interactive community-building
features have been incorporated in the site to make online
shopping a pleasant experience.

background
Cadbury India a subsidiary of Cadbury Schweppes is the market
leader in the Indian chocolate and malted health drink category
with strong brands like Dairy Milk, Five Star, Perk, Gems
and Bournvita etc. Cadbury Schweppes is one of the leading
global companies in beverages and confectionery businesses
with operations in over 190 countries.
Realizing
the growing potential of online sale of chocolates and similar
products in India, Cadbury approached Innasite
to devise an end-to-end e-business strategy to tap this
medium.
Introduction
Cadbury India asked Innasite to carry out a
strategic consulting report to define the functional requirements
of the proposed gifting site. An exhaustive 6 -week study
was carried out by two web consultants to define the client
requirements and evolve a strategy for a gifting site. The
scope involved identifying - trend of B2C transactions in
India, content strategy, study of competition across important
parameters, business plan, CRM tools, marketing strategy
and target segment. The study also identified - various
gifting items, logistics partner, payment gateway and security
related issues.
The
observations of the initial study resulted in some interesting
revelations such as the importance of NRI's as a target
audience.
The
scope of study was further expanded to include a dipstick
among competitors, tying up with vendors and the other partners.
Later, phase wise development process was launched from
our software development center in Chennai.
