Eenadu.net is the web presence for the second largest circulating newspaper in India with dominant position in the minds of Telugu newsreaders. The application is an effort to reach out to thousands of non-resident Telugus across the world. In terms of traffic, it is among the top 1000 visited sites in the world and among the Top 10 sites in India, today. The traffic on the site continues to grow - and it earns significant revenues for th Eenadu group through banners and other online advertising formats.

Design - The online newspaper faithfully follows the design and style of the offline newspaper. This creates a sense of bonding for the expatriate, who misses his country and the morning habit of browsing through the familiar copy of the Eenadu.

Content Publishing - is enabled through a simple and intuitive content management tool. This tool demands only the very basic computer skills from the team in charge of the editing.

Embedded dynamic fonts - To avoid fonts installation, the application embeds the fonts as dynamic font in .eot and .pfr formats thereby supporting standard browsers for font rendering along with the HTML page.

Technology:
The complete solution is based on an Intel platform with Windows 2000 as the operating system and SQL Server 2000 as back end database. The scripting logic is through Microsoft Active Server Pages. Unicode search is implementated to assist in vernacular search.
