Sabri-net

Sabri-net is a Japanese language community site. The site offers professional advice to community members on different aspects of their life and personality. Members are graded according to their achievements. They have to pay a regular subscription to become part of the community.

One member is selected as the 'Member of the Month' - the selected member gets an opportunity to put up samples of his work (for instance, a photographer can display his work).

Key features include :

- Announcements about the new events in the community
- Latest news in the community
- Online ticket booking for the events

The above features are provided with an admin interface and can be updated/ modified using the content management tools.

Technology Used :

The application is built using ASP as the scripting language on Win NT 5 with SQL Server 7 as the backend. It is a bilingual site - displayed in Japanese and English. Japanese is a double byte language and requires 16 bit character set for diplay - we used Unicode and multi-language support feature of SQL Server to achieve this.
